Dorothy Mae Simerly age 83, of Ethowah passed away, Wednesday November 12, 2014, at Englewood Health Care Center. She was a member of Chilhowee Baptist Church and a faithful attendee of Grasshopper Road Church of God. Preceded in death by husband, Hubert Clinton Simerly; brothers, Arvery Walker; sister, Mary Ruth Kerr; niece, Judy Ann Kerr. Survived by daughter and son in law, Florene and Pastor Johnny Raper; granddaughter, Elizabeth Collins and Scotty Smithey; great grandchildren, Hunter Collins and Keegan Smithey; sisters, Judy Sherwood and Sue Elliott; brother, Albert Walker III; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 PM Friday November 14, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Pastor Johnny Raper officiating. Graveside service and interment 1:00 PM Saturday at Grandview Cemetery.
