HATCHER , CECIL C. - age 75, of Maryville, died Monday, October 16, 2000, at his home in his workshop. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, a WWII Navy Veteran and an avid camper. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co., after 36 years of service. Member of Rockford Lodge #469 F&AM and a member of Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, 32 degree. Preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Nora Carr Hatcher ; brother, Bascom Hatcher ; sisters, Emmer Newman and Viola Donaldson. Survivors: wife, Virginia Hatcher ; children, Dinah and Gary Rowland, Margarretta and Leon Davis, Dennis and Cheryl Hatcher , Judith Broyles, all of Maryville, Michael and Karen Hatcher of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren, Kip and Jan Davis, Dale and Jennifer Davis, Mark Rowland, Clay and Traci Davis, Keith and Kelli Rowland, Matthew Hatcher , Jonathan Hatcher , Kelsey Hatcher and Jessie Hatcher ; great-grandchildren, Lane, Cooper and Carolina Davis, Tanner and Reid Evans; brother and sister-in-law, James and Lydia Hatcher of Maryville; sisters, Autie Patty and Clara Dunn, both of Maryville. Masonic and Funeral services 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2000, West Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ernest Condy and Rev. Clarence Evans officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2000, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Memorial donations may be made to Prospect Baptist Church.
