Bowers, Wilma Irene Owenby age 82 of Walland passed away Friday, August 11, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born in Elkmont, TN on March 16, 1924. Wilma was a charter member of Oak View Baptist Church and a member of the Chilhowee Chapter No. 450 Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by: Husband, William Thomas (W.T.) Bowers Jr. (passed away August 11, 1976); Parents, Hubert & Cora Owenby; Brother, Glen Owenby; Daughter, Charlotte Bowers Mynatt; Brother-in-law, Joe Bowers; Great Granddaughter, Railee Bowers. Survivors include: Son, William Thomas (Tom) Bowers III and wife Charlotte of Walland; Grandchildren, Brad Bowers & wife Missy; Kristi Bowers Yates & husband Marty; Brent Mynatt; Great-Grandchildren, Gracie Bowers, Lendi Yates, Lee Yates, and Landry Yates; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Stanley & Lib Owenby of Walland, Don & Jimmie Owenby of Chattanooga, and Bruce & Mae Owenby of Maryville; Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Jewell & Harold Headrick of Chattanooga, Louise & Gerald Dixon of Seymour, and Lorene & Lloyd Wilhite of Maryville; Sister-in-law, Dorothy Bowers Keeble; Son-in-law, Charlie Mynatt; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, special friends and relatives.
