(February 28, 1961 - December 25, 2014) John Brad Holloway, age 53, of Newport passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at his home. He served as Cocke County Road Superintendent for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Louise Holloway; brothers Lester Holloway and Donnie Holloway He is survived by his daughter, Kaylee Holloway of Dandridge; brothers, Larry Holloway and Ronnie Holloway both of Newport; sisters, Margie (Bobby) Frazier of Newport, Joanne Baker of Newport, and Linda (Jerry) Reed of Newport; nephews and nieces, Chris and Kelsey Gorrell of Newport, Brandon, Brandi, Brody and Blakely Holloway of Newport, Dwayne Gregg, Randy, Janet, Sydney, Landon Crumbley of Knoxville. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Manes Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 29, 2014 in Open Door (Phillips) Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday prior to funeral services. Pallbearers will be Jim Woods, Freddie Thomas, Charles Tipton, Billy (Jo Bob) Hudson, Jimmy Fine, Brent McGee, Phil Killion, Michael Barnes, Ace Sneed and Scott Davis.
