Chester Crumb was called home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2014. He was born on July 20, 1925 in Newport, TN.
Chester served in the United States Army in Europe during WWII, where he earned a Bronze Star for bravery. Chester and his wife, Irene, were owners of King Street Mobile Home Park for 40 years.
Chester started many of his days having coffee with his friends. He loved gardening, attending auctions, spending time with his family. He always had a smile on his face and loved helping others.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents George and Amanda Crumb, four brothers, two sisters, and his grandson.
Chester is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Irene Crumb, his two daughters Sharon Clark (Clifton Clark) and Crystal Sapp (Mark Sapp). He will forever be remembered as Papaw by his grandchildren Stephanie O'Neal, Shana Morgan and Matthew, Michael, and Mason Sapp, and as "Old" Papaw by his eight great-grandchildren. Chester is also survived by his sister, Nell Wilson of Alcoa, Tennessee.
A visitation service will be held Thursday, April 24, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, 5475 N U.S. Hwy. 1, Cocoa, FL. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m. at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
