McMAHAN, FLORITA BUTLER - age 91, of Sevierville, died Thursday, October 29, 1998, at Royal Care Nursing Home in Pigeon Forge. Formerly a teacher in Sevier County schools, she was a member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church and nearly a 50 year member of Manthano Club. Daughter of the late A.W. and Kate Butler, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. McMahan; and seven siblings including twin sister, Juanita O'Neill Butler. Survivors: daughter, Glenna McMahan Semmer of Maryville; granddaughter, Blythe Semmer of Murfreesboro; sister, Mary B. Henry of Pigeon Forge; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at Middle Creek Cemetery at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 1, 1998, for graveside service and interment with Rev. John Graham officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Middle Creek United Methodist Church, 1569 Promise Lane, Sevierville, TN 37862. Friends may call at their convenience at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
