Purkey , age 84 of Maryville passed away on Monday, May 28, 2007 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was a retired salesman for Lowe's. He was of the Methodist faith and a Mason. He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Jane Purkey ; children: Patricia Lynn Purkey of Maryville, Judy Darlene Pegram of Cape Corel, FL, Bobbie Briggs of Maryville, and David Vance of Calhoun, TN. There are 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Colonial Hills Nursing Home and all the staff. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Activities Department at Colonial Hills Nursing Home, 2034 Cochran Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
