She was a member of Maryville First Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Survived by her husband of over 72 years, Odis Abbott; sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton and Darlene Abbott of Alcoa, and Larry and Katherine Abbott of Etowah, TN; daughter, Cathy Abbott Coe of Maryville; Six Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Phyllis's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in the Smith Trinity chapel with Rev. Charles Ballard and Rev. Gary Stinnett officiating. The family and friends will assemble on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery for the Interment.
