Eloise Chambers , age 84, of Newport passed away Thursday June 16, 2005. She was a former employee of Valentine-Shults Hospital and Cocke County Baptist Hospital for many years. She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Chambers ; and son, James Chambers .
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Beverly Chambers , Ronnie (Jake) and Mary Chambers all of Newport; grandchildren, Robert ( Whitney ) Chambers of Franklin, TN, Bobby Chambers , Julie (Jackie) Kitchen; great-grandchildren, Alex and Arin Chambers , Colton and Cheyenne Chambers , Hunter Kitchen and Jake Webb all of Newport; sisters, Pauline Shelton of Oak Ridge, Stella Adcox of Newport; sister and brother-in-law, Beulah and L. S. McKay of Del Rio, sisters-in-law, Imogene Lewis of White Pine and Eleanor Chambers of Bybee; also several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Lisa Copeland of Newport.
Graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday June 18, 2005 at Union Cemetery with Rev. Ransom Hall and Rev. Freddrick Long officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at Manes Funeral Home.
