Mr. Henry Glenn "Blue Jay" Norton age 64, of Parrottsville passed away Monday morning, June 30, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his father Henry Norton Sr.; step-father Bill Metcalf; grandparents Joseph and Zef Norton ; Roscoe and Vestina Franklin; sister-in-law Patricia Randall and nephew Jason Parton.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Norton of the home; son Terry (Katie) Norton of Greeneville; daughter Lovinia (Michelle) Norton of Parrottsville; step-son David (Megan) Crawford Jr. of MI; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; mother Elizabeth Metcalf of Parrottsville; mother-in-law Alice Franklin of Parrottsville; father-in-law Norman Randall of N.C.; sister Brenda (Nickie) Parton of Greeneville; brothers-in-law Ted Randall and Fred (Mary Kay) Randall both of MI and Dwayne Randall of Newport, and sister-in-law Ellen (Ron) Dick of MI. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Sherman Hollow Pentecostal Church with Pastor Terry Franklin and Pastor Buster Shelton officiating. The casket will lie in state from noon until 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Interment will be in the White Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
