Pearl I. Rayfield, 82, a 60-year resident of Leavenworth, Wash., and a former resident of Sevierville, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center.She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Floyd, of the family home; daughters, Helen Rayfield and Cookie (Roy) McGregor, all of Leavenworth; son, David (Sharon) Rayfield of Leavenworth; two sisters, Grace Watson and Willamae "Dude" Laymon, both of Sevierville; 10 grandchildren, David, Mike and Nick Rayfield; Doug and Danny Darlington; Debbie Ulias; Jennifer Latimer, Ryan McGregor, Marni McMahon and Ty McGregor; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Dean Taylor Rayfield; five brothers, Ernest, Bruce, Ben, Blaine and Howard Justus and one sister, Trula Woods.Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Ward's Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Bob Jackson officiating.Those who wish may make memorials in her name to the Alzheimer's Association; 12721 130th Ave. NE, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98125.

Pearl I. Rayfield , 82, a sixty year resident of Leavenworth, died Sunday evening February 15, 2004, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Pearl I. Justus on September 28, 1921, to William and Elizabeth (McMahon) Justus in Sevier County Tennessee, where she grew up and received her early education.
On August 12, 1939, she married Floyd Rayfield in Sevierville, Tennessee and in 1940 they moved to Geouga County, near Cleveland, Ohio and then in 1942, they returned to Sevierville. In 1943, they moved to Leavenworth and when Floyd enlisted in the U.S. Navy, he moved his family back to Tennessee and following his honorable discharge in 1946 they returned to Leavenworth.
Pearl was employed as a nurses aide for over 25 years at the Cascade Hospital, which later became Cascade Medical Center retiring in 1984.
She supported her children in their school activities and was a loving wife and mother and an exceptional grandma. She enjoyed working in her beautiful rose garden and flower bed and working the ground with the vegetable garden and was always willing to share her knowledge of canning and preparing foods.
Pearl is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, Floyd of the family home. Two daughters, Helen Rayfield and Cookie (Roy) McGregor all of Leavenworth; one son, David (Sharon) Rayfield of Leavenworth. Two sisters, Grace Watson and Willamae "Dude" Laymon both of Sevierville. 10 grandchildren David, Mike and Nick Rayfield , Doug and Danny Darlington Debbie Ulias, Jennifer Latimer, Ryan McGregor, Marni McMahon and Ty McGregor. 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Dean Taylor Rayfield ; 5 brothers, Ernest, Bruce, Ben, Blaine and Howard Justus and one sister Trula Woods.
A Funeral Service of Commemoration to Celebrate the Life of Pearl I. Rayfield will be conducted at 1:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, February 20, 2004, in the Ward's Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bob Jackson, officiating. The family will receive friends, Thursday evening, (Feb. 19) between 5 and 8 p.m. at the Chapel. The service will conclude in the Chapel, with private family interment in the Mt. View Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial in her name to the Alzheimer's Association; 12721 - 130th Ave. NE, Suite 101; Seattle, Wa . 98125 Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
