Bonnie Whaley Justus age 75, of Sevierville, passed away Saturday March 31, 2007 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She was born in the Big Greenbrier section of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park and later the family relocated to the Pittman Center area. She was a member of Richardson’s Cove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Justus taught school for 47 years in Sevier County of which the last 29 years were spent at Pi Beta Phi before she retired in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Blaine Justus, parents: Richard and Leola Whaley, brother: Bill Whaley, and sister: Henrietta Carr.
She is survived by her children: Sharon Arwood, Blake Justus, Beverly Loveday and husband Kipp, and Eric Justus, grandsons: Neal Wilson, Tyler Arwood and wife Jesse, and Kyle Loveday, great granddaughter: Krislynn Davis, sisters: Lena Campbell, Genvea Litherland, brothers: Gordon Whaley and wife Becky, and Wallace Whaley. Sister in laws: Grace Watson, Willa Mae Layman and husband J.R., and Hazel Justus, brother in law: Jess Carr, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening April 4, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the chapel of the Rawlings Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following the visitation at 8:00 PM in the Rawlings Chapel with the reverends Randy Davis and David Ayers officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 AM Thursday morning April 5, 2007 to travel in procession to the Richardson’s Cove Cemetery for the 10:30 AM interment Service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Music Ministry at Richardson’s Cove Baptist Church 3107 Pittman Center Rd Sevierville, TN 37876
