Billy Edward Lowe Sr., age 71, of Walland, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He retired from ALCOA and was owner and operator of Blount Fabricators for 50 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #13 and a member of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by: parents, Floyd Martha Jane Lowe ; brothers, Fred Lowe , David Lowe , Donald Lowe , Paul Lowe , and Chester Lowe ; sisters, Mary, Barbara, Linda, Dorothy; infant daughter, Lorie Kaye. Survivors include: wife, Gwen Faye Lowe of Alcoa; sons, Eddie Lowe , Michael Lowe wife Shelby of Walland, and Carl Lowe of Maryville; daughters, Becky Hansford of Townsend and Judy Hayes of Maryville; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Roy Lowe of Walland; sisters, Martha Coleman of Walland, Edith Sloan of Knoxville, and Patsy Millsaps of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 29, 2008, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Michael Lowe and Rev. Jim McCulla officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
