Audrey E. Coffey , age 78 of Maryville died Monday, January 19, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Mrs. Coffey was saved at a revival at a very young age. After having met in Bean Station at a young age, Everett (E.J.) and Audrey have been best friends and loving couple every since. She was a true companion and a loving and devoted wife. Preceded in death by: parents, William (Bill) Hodge and Lyda Hodge; brother, Kenneth Cameron. Survivors include: husband of 62 years, Everett (E.J.) Coffey ; stepmother, Ella Hodge of Morristown; brother, H.D. Hodge of Dover, Delaware; sisters, Louise Wells, Jean Hodge, Wanda Toby, Pauline Wells, Brenda Carpenter, and Phyllis Arwood all of Morristown; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and entombment at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2004, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Preacher Tommy Russell and Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Morning Star Baptist Church, 3412 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy., Maryville, TN 37804.
