COOPER , MR. TAUBY JAMES - age 72 of Jefferson Avenue, Knoxville passed away 9:35 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2000 at the home of his son, Larry Cooper . Member of Hines Creek Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Sumpter Batteries. Preceded in death by sister, Georgia Snodderly, Pauline Berry. Survivors: sons and daughter in law, Larry and Carolyn Cooper , Halls, Gary L Cooper , Maynardville; daughters and son in law, Linda and Bill Canada, Sherri Effler, both of Knoxville; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Rev. E.R. Cooper of Luttrell; sisters, Ruby Berry, Mildred Beason, Rozella Wyrick, Betty Farris, all of Maynardville; Beulah Flatford of Anderson, Ind., Robin Hale of Andersonville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, Hinds Creek Baptist Church, Rev. Mark Large, Rev. Oscar (Bud) Berry officiating, with music by Ruby Berry, Duane Wyrick and Donald Beason. The body will lie in state one hour before services. Interment will follow in Hinds Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers: Vondas Snodderly, Bill Beason, Ralph Wyrick, Robert Berry, Ralph Farris, Rev. Gene Hale. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday Cooke Mortuary Maynardville.
