BROWN , RICHARD STEPHEN - age 44, of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 20, 2002, after a brief battle with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith. He was employed by KCDC with over 20 years service. Survived by daughter, Kerri Brown and fiancee, Eric Phillips, and son, Erik Phillips, Jr., loving and devoted girlfriend, Cathy McConville mother, Linnie Kate Brown father, Austin Eugene Brown sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Virgil Avans, Genia and Johnny Rauhuff brother and sister-in-law, O.J. and Hazel Brown nieces and nephews, Brad and Chris Avans, John and wife, Leigh Rauhuff, Jason Keith and wife, Elisha Brown , Russell Brown , Missy Brown , and Tessa Brown one great nephew and two great nieces. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Paul Walker officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home to go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. interment service. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Underwood, Randy Breeden, Henry Brown , Randy Hill, Doug Hunnicutt, and nephews of Mr. Brown .
