Johnson, Hazel V., age 85, of Tellico Plains, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was a former member of Delrose Church of God. Preceded in death by husband, Otha Johnson; birth mother, Dolly Rose Wheeler; adoptive parents, Oscar and Eva Fagg; half-sister, Joyce Jackson; half-brother, Robert Wheeler; special sister-in-law, Naomi Scott; and great granddaughter Amber Vaughn. Survived by children and spouses, Virginia Jo and W.F. Bivens, Julia and Roy Page, Linda Sue and Allen Bivens, Sandra and Wayne Bivens all of Tellico Plains, Kathy and Hubert LeQuire of Maryville, Gary and Billie Johnson, Darrell and Nola Johnson both of Seymour, Ronnie and Pam Johnson of Strawberry Plains; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren and 1 pending; foster brother, Terry Fagg; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Brian McCarter, Rev. Scott Knight and Rev. Jarvis Bivens officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Friends will meet on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery for the interment. Special visitation for friends of Tellico Plains will be on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Friends Meeting of Ballplay from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Special thanks to all nurses and nurse-aides of East Tennessee Home Healthcare and Pastor Mike.
