Freeman Wells , 73, passed away Monday, May 14, 2007. He was born in Walker County, Ga., to the late Ashley F. and Beacie Strickland Wells . He was a lifelong resident of the Chickamauga area and was a member of the Lookout Mountain Quarter Horse Association. He retired from Chattanooga Boiler & Tank Co., where he was a boilermaker and was the former owner/operator of Chattanooga Garage on Rossville Boulevard. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Wells , Connie Ray Wells ; daughter, Joy Wells ; and grandson, Wesley Helton. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Teresa and Randy Padgett, of Chattanooga, and Janice Wells , of Ringgold, Ga.; sisters, Mildred Dennis, Betty Bryson and Carolyn Wallace, all of Chickamauga; grandchildren, April Jewell and Nicolas Hanzelik; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Alex Helton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ron Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Garmany Cemetery, Kensington, Ga.
