William Taft Ownby died Friday, April 9, 1999, at the family residence.
He was 90. He was retired from Brown Stove Works with over 40 years of service.
He was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Ownby .
Survivors include one son, Hoyt Ownby , Cleveland; one daughter, Emma Hawkins, Cleveland; three brothers, Watt, Donald and Ray Ownby , all of Cleveland; three sisters, Ruth Ownby , Mary Wooten, Gladys Kirkpatrick, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Duckworth and the Rev. Ronnie Carden officiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
