Martha Francis Myers, 87 of Maryville, TN, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday evening peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Martha was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church of Maryville, TN. Martha supported her family for many years at Sis's Grill as a waitress. She retired from the Blount County Schools Cafeteria at Louisville and Middlesettlements Schools. She loved her family, beach trips, and was proud of her 40 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martha never met a stranger and welcomed all to her home. Preceded in death by: Parents, Shelby & Pearl Thomas; Brothers, Stewart, Neubert, Leon & Fred Thomas; Sisters, Pauline Childress, Margaret Smithey, & Helen Mills; Grandson, Jaison Thomas Myers; Granddaughter, Brooke McAmis. Martha is survived by: Son & Daughter-in-law, Mike & Jeanie Myers; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Brenda & Bill Talbott, Betty & Jim Calkin, Debbie & Joe McAmis, Donna & Jamie Harbin, and Patti & Tim Denton; 16 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren; Special Niece, Joy Sparks. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Madison Avenue Baptist Church with funeral service at 6:00 PM with Rev. Glenn Cummings officiating.
