She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth Smith, parents Lonzo and Alice Proffitt Whaley and sisters Edna Lowe, Zora Wallace, Lois Hoskins and brother Ben Whaley. Survivors, daughter Charlotte and husband Harry Jackson, grandson Chadwick and wife Angelia Patterson; great granddaughter, Isabella Luna Patterson; sisters, Lora Bowling, Blanche Jarnigan, Cecil Romines and husband Laney; sister-in-law Glady Whaley; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends April 8, 2011 from 11:00-12:00 pm in the chapel at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm.
