Grace Yates Blevins, age 93, passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Wilder Blevins; father and mother, Conney and Sara West Yates; brothers, Kenneth, Robert, Roy, Floyd, Clarence, and Billy Ed Yates; sister, Bernice Stroud; grandson, James H. Dotson; granddaughter, Margaret Jane Blevins. Survivors include: daughters, Imogene and husband, Lee Dotson of Greenback, and Betty and husband, Henry Dotson of Maryville; sons, Leon and Ronald Blevins of Maryville, and Allen and Bobbie Blevins of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Glen Valentine, Willia B. Simerly, Mary Fields, and Alvis June Herron, all of Maryville. Funeral service 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Alvin Patton and Rev. Fred Tate officiating, Family and friends will meet at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home.
