Clara Marie Fields, age 81, of Maryville, passed away Saturday morning, September 22, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a very special mother and friend. Preceded in death by her husband, Wade Fields; parents, William Connie and Sarah Yates; brothers, Kenneth Yates, Robert Yates, Roy Yates, Floyd Yates, Clarence Yates, and Bill Yates; sisters, Margaret Yates, Grace Blevins, and Bernice Stoutt. Survivors include her son, Ricky Fields and special friend, April Wood both of Maryville; sisters, Glen Valentine, Willie B. Simerly, and Alvis June Herron all of Maryville; former husband and special friend, Fate Irwin of Maryville; former step children, Roger Irwin, Eugene Irwin, and Shelia Flanagan, former step grandchild, Tyler; many special friends, nieces, and nephews. Funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Fred Tate and Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:00 a.m. Monday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the graveside service and interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865) 982-6041, www.millerfuneralhome.org.
