Billy Joe McFall, age 76, of Knoxville, departed this life for his Heavenly home, December, 24, 2010 after a courageous battle of illnesses. He attended Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. He was one of eight children. Preceded in death by parents, Ethridge McFall, Lenore McFall Crisp, wife, Clara Jo Berrier Maynard McFall, brother, Ernest McFall, sisters, Dale Walker and Eula Gibson. Billy retired in 1977 after 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy he moved to Knoxville where he met and married Clara Berrier Maynard. He has been a loving and supportive father to his step daughter, Lisa Cate Barger and husband Don, step sons, Paul and James Maynard. He was blessed with two grandsons, Ben Maynard who lived with him for fifteen years, Andrew Cate and one great granddaughter, Lavender. Sister and brother in law, Ruby and Karl “Pumpkin” Dodson, sisters, Aileen Brownlee and Doris Huduall, brother and sister in law, Ray and Janet McFall, brother in law Ralph Gibson and will be sadly missed by his loving nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their loving thanks to his special caregivers, John, Cathy and Robin. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Mercy Hospice. Private family services are to be held at Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery. Announced by Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
