Michael Keith Beeler, Knoxville, age 62 passed away Wednesday May 14th at 11 :00 am at UT Hospital. He was a disabled U.S Army veteran of the Vietnam war and was a paratrooper. He fought and won a 5 year battle with cancer. He was a graduate of Gibbs High School and Knoxville Business College, he was a member of the Union Baptist Church. Preceeded in death by grandparents: James M. Beeler, Nora Rogers Beeler, Leo Burkhart and Lillian Clemons Burkhart. He is survived by parents: Bill K. Beeler and Travis Burkhart Beeler; Son: Travis J. Beeler; Daughter: Rachel L. Beeler; mother of his children, Laurie; Brothers: Jeffrey L. Beeler; Granddaughters: Isabelle and Leia, Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for him during his last three weeks of life at UT Hospital and lovingly cared for him. Funeral Service 8pm Friday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. Gary Beeler officiating. Family & friends will meet at Union Cemetery, Washington Pike at 9:45am Saturday for interment at 10am. Cousins will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
