(September 18, 1917 - May 6, 2014) Blanche Ownby Hill, age 96, of Greenback passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was a longtime member of Greenback First Presbyterian Church where she served as a nursery and Bible School teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert Frank Hill, her parents, James and Nora Ownby, and her eight sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Jo Ann (Kyle) Black, Linda (Richard) Morgan, Pat (Randall) McIntosh, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving “Mamaw” to grandchildren, Teresa Black, Cynthia (Steve) Pyle, Andrea Moody, Robin (Ty) Patterson, Whitney Risher, Ashley (Adam) Sonn; and Great-Grandchildren, Jared Jones, Adam and Zack Pyle, Katelyn and Logan Moody, Kaci and Ian Patterson, Avery and Lyza Risher, and Chandler Ownby Sonn arriving this August. A special thanks to all the staff and caregivers at Morning View. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. David Bell and Rev. Ron Sabo officiating. Interment service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
