Mrs. Exie Mae Holt Brummitt, age 73, of Newport, TN, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jess and Linnie Holt, brothers J. D. Holt, Ruble Holt, and Cecil Holt, and brother-in-law Bill Gilliland.
She is survived by her husband of forty-four years Harold Brummitt of Newport, son Allen Brummitt of Newport, sisters Edna Gilliland of Newport and Louella Keasling of Greeneville; brother Jimmy (Betty) Holt of North Carolina, and former daughter-in-law Denese Mooneyham of Newport. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special friend Linda Renner of Newport.
A funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Ball officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, to go in procession to Liberty Hill Cemetery for the interment.
