Viola B. Hall , age 84, of Newport, died Saturday morning at the Mariner Health Care of Newport. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and May Baxter Caughron and brothers Kenneth, Andy, and R.D. Caughron. She is survived by her sons, David Clayton Hall and Hiter Hall , of Newport, and Odie Hall , of Pigeon Forge; daughter, Hilda Shults, of Newport; brother, Jim Caughron, of Liberty, Kentucky; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Jan Caughron, of Newport; sisters, Gertrude McGaha, of California, Emodene Harvey, of West Tennessee, Imogene Glas, of Belmont, North Carolina, Dorothy Schell, of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Lil Shultz, of Seabring, New Jersey, and Linda Crow, of Arizona; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and friends at the Mariner Health Care of Newport. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Manes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles Lowery officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
