BLAINE, JUNE CLEMMER - born June 12, 1925, passed away November 25, 2003 at Hillcrest West Nursing Center. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retiree of Sears. After graduating from Vonore High School and Knoxville Business College, she worked on the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin H. & Myra Mayo Clemmer sisters, Dorothy, Mildred and Carolyn Clemmer and Arneta Wright brothers, J.C. and Robert Clemmer . She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert Blaine of Seymour daughter & son in law, Karen and Carl Ragan of Knoxville grandsons, Len Blaine and his wife, Janna Rodgers Blaine and Carl Ragan sisters and brothers in law, Evelyn & Ross Sims, Barbara & Dr. Dewey Peters sisters in law, Rebecca Edmonds all of Knoxville several nieces and nephews and special friends Paul Brimi and Evelyn Hedgecoth. The family wishes to thank the second floor staff of Hillcrest West for their kindness, especially nurses, Daniel, Jackie, and Faye. The family will receive friends 12-1 p.m. Friday followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. R. David Lancaster and Dr. Paul Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emerald Youth Foundation, 1718 N. Central, Knoxville, Tenn. 37917. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
