Mr. Gaylon J. Thomas, age 80, of Dandridge, passed away Tuesday evening, April 22, 2014, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a United States Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carol and Lena Bell Thomas, sisters Unavee Broome and Dora Jane Owenby, brother Laybon Thomas, and sister-in-law Wanda Thomas.
Survivors include his brother Carl Thomas of Parrottsville, nieces Carlene Roark of Cleveland, TN; Hilda Wilke of Parrottsville and Rita Cobb of White Pine; nephew Terry Owenby of Parrottsville; two great-nephews and special friends Lawrence Masters, Charlie Schrader, and Wayne Stapleton, all of Dandridge.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, April 25, 2014, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Gorrell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning, April 26, 2014, at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 6:00—8:00 p.m. Friday at Costner-Maloy prior to the service.
