Preceded in death by parents, Grady and Evelyn Kirkland; brothers, Arlos, Alfred, Bill and Mike Kirkland; sisters, Helen and Dorothy. Survived by wife of 15 years Zelma Kirkland; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Bob Duncan; daughter, Robin Kirkland; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Henry; granddaughters, Elizabeth Duncan and Hannah Davidson; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Jerry Cook; brothers and sister-in-law, Leon and Dorothy Kirkland, Jerry Kirkland and Darrell Kirkland; loving nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside service and interment 2:00 PM Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Holston College Cemetery Rev. Jim Malone officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Saturday at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel.
