WALKER , GLEN TROY , SR. - age 77, of Knoxville, passed away August 17th, 1999 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He owned Walker & Sons Electric and Plumbing Co. He was retired from Waste Water Control. He was a World War II Veteran, where he received the Purple Heart, and a member of the 11th Airborne Divisions. Preceded in death: wife, Stella Rader Walker ; son, James Edward (Eddie) Walker ; parents, Andy and Cory Walker ; great-granddaughter, Catherine Amick. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Bill Bedwell, Glenda (Pookie) and Gena Bedwell; sons and daughters-in-law, Troy and Jean Walker , Jude and Joy Walker , Ronnie and Christine (Tiney) Walker ; brother, Hank Walker ; brothers and sisters-in-law, Perry (DeWayne) and Irene Walker , Earl and Gladys Walker ; sisters, Sarah Gabriel, Ethel Dennis, Pauline Emery, Joan Ashburn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cecilia and Floydd Brantley, Irene and Marion Nelson, Jola Mae and Hurles Henegar; grandchildren, Cyndi and Allen, Chris and Shirley, Cathy and Mark, Todd and Kim, Jerry and Lisa, Tammy and Bobby, Brent and Courtney, Janet Bedwell, Brian, James, and Farrah Walker , Christy and Brandon, and Niki Raby; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Anna, Matthew, Nicole and Cory, Baily, McKenzie, Jonathan, Summer, Riley, and Kaitlyn; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Delores (RoRo) Guffie; a host of loving friends and very special neighbors. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery 10:45 a.m. Friday for graveside services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
