(May 26, 1977 - April 4, 2006) Charles Frank “Chuck” Davis, age 28, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and a Gideon. He was Chairman US Hwy 25 E Scenic Byways Group, President East Tennessee Marketing Partnership. He was also a member of Middle East Tennessee Tourism Council and a certified Tennessee Tourism Professional. He was preceded in death by his father, Frankie Davis; nephew, Garin Haney; grandparents, Eugene Wyatt, C. Frank Davis and Christine Goan Davis. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Davis of Newport; special girlfriend, Susan Key of Morristown; grandmother, Ina Wyatt of Newport; sister, Wendy Haney and husband Michael of Newport; nephews, Skyler Haney Allen of Knoxville, and Santana Haney of Newport; aunts and uncles, Sharon Gentry of Bybee, Donna and Johnny Buckner of Bybee, Tina Allen, Rodney Gentry and Tommy Grooms all of Newport; three very special friends, Chris Jarnigan of Louisville, KY, Gregg Wampler of Morristown and Stacie Russell Worley of Newport; a host of cousins, other relatives, friends including his Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church family and special youth, Morristown Chamber Family and the Cocke County High School Class of 1995. Funeral Services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, April 7, 2006 at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Craig Ward and Rev. Mike Tyson officiating; Scott Johnson, Chris Jarnigan and Andy Glenn, eulogizing. Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church prior to the funeral services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 234 Lincoln Avenue Newport, TN 37821
