U.S. VeteranKenneth Keith Dockery, age 88 of Henderson, KY passed away at 8:08 P.M. Friday, March 28, 2014 at Redbanks Nursing Home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Kenneth was born and raised in Maryville, Tennessee in 1926 to Josh and Hattie Dockery. He was a US Air Force WWII Veteran and member of Church of Christ in Henderson, Kentucky. He was an electrician for Alcoa in Alcoa, TN, Ormet Aluminum in Hannibal, OH and Alcan Aluminum in Henderson, KY before retiring. He loved sports of all types but his greatest passion was attending games at Neyland Stadium and his team, the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He and his family visited the Great Smoky Mountains often and enjoyed outdoor picnics in the mountains. He was a gentle man that loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed watching them play sports. Not only was he a jokester, he was friendly to everyone. He could fix just about anything that he tried to repair.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.

Friends and relatives are invited to Kenneth’s Life Celebration from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 30, 2014 and 9:00 A.M. until service time on Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Funeral Home, Henderson, Kentucky. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 31, 2014. Gary Puryear will officiate. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, TN. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Alcoa, TN. Dean Buchanan will officiate. Full military honors will be rendered.
