Survived by daughter, Sheri Stallings and husband Rodney; friends, Charlotte Swaggerty and Phyllis Hunt Stair; son, Brian Atkins; and Stephanie Sparks and husband Steve; grandchildren, Megan Caroline Stallings, Camille Elizabeth Stair, Cody Stair, Shea Montgomery, Shanna Sparks, Sydnie Sparks, Shania Atkins, and Bryson Atkins; great grandson, Cayden Montgomery; sister, Ginger Bates; sister-in-law, Elzan Stair; nieces and nephews, Lorinda Bates, Jim Bates II, Susan Evans, Karen Hancock, Missy Stair Browning, Wesley Stair, and Sarah Elizabeth; special life-long friend, Ed Bissell; and special brother and deacon, Bob “Red” Bates. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Earl officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UT of TN Heart Hospital or Cancer Center.
