Stella A. Bailey Best, age 86 of Maryville, died July 29, 2004 at 11:40 a.m. at Asbury Place at Maryville. She was a longtime member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Leon Best; sons, Lynn and Don Best; parents, Roy and Nannie Bailey; sisters, Helen Smith and Pauline Morton; brothers, Claude and Howard Bailey; son-in-law, Dale Long.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Loretta Best of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Ernie Medlin of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Marsha Best of Rock, WV; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Johnnie Bailey; sisters-in-law, Jean Bailey, Mildred Bailey, and Thelma Harvey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stanley and Donnie Best; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery for a graveside service followed by a 2:30 p.m. memorial service at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Russell and Rev. Larry Best officiating.
The family will receive friends at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home following the memorial service or those who wish may call at the home of Brenda Medlin or at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home at their convenience.
