March 1, 2014 - March 1, 2014 Resided in Knoxville, TN Daniel Shalom Sakwe, infant son of Divine and Elizabeth (McCoig) Sakwe, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kathleen Marie McCoig and great-grandmother, Zola Mae McCoig. In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his brother, Gabriel Bright Sakwe; grandparents, Fredrick and Lucy Nanje; grandfather, Darrell McCoig; great-grandmother, Donna Koester; aunts and uncles, Jeremiah and Rachel McCoig, Nathaniel and Jennifer McCoig; special friend, Amy Chittum; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A special "thank you" to the doctors, nurses and staff of UT Hospital for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center, P.O. Box 4536, Sevierville, TN 37864-4536. Graveside service and interment 2 PM Sunday in Burchfiel Memorial Cemetery with The Reverend Paige Buchholz officiating.
