Sherry Ann Ford, age 47, of Newport, went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary “Polly” Moore; and brother, Verbon Lee Moore. She is survived by her husband, Charles Ford; daughters, Alexis McGaha, Jessica McGaha and Fiancé, Franklin; brother, Danny Moore; sisters, Jamie Manning and husband, Johnny, Terrie Moore, and Vonda Phillips; granddaughter, Madilyn Annalee Shropshire all of Newport; special uncle Joe Overholt and special aunts Mary Ann Lee and Jeanette Overholt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Carolyn Ford; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Jimmy Miller, Kay and Ray Hawk, Sandy and Danny Jenkins all of Newport, Shirley and Marty Seitz, of Louisville, KY; also several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Thursday, October 29, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev, Fred Cagle officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday in Stokely Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm prior to the funeral services.
