ARCADIA -- Marjorie Hall Gantt , 76, of 111 Oak Street, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at her home. Born September 10, 1931, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Hessie Willet Hall and the widow of Louie Langston Gantt . She attended Cleveland High School, was a weaver at Mayfair Mills for 17 years, and was a cake decorator at Ingles Market Café for 15 years. Mrs. Gantt was a former member of Arcadia Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Louie Wayne Gantt of Boiling Springs and Gary Michael Gantt of Moore; a daughter, Patricia Gantt Forrester of Fairforest; a sister, Dorothy Ann Smith of Inman; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held prior to 3:00 PM graveside services from 2:00-2:45 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Sandra Smith will officiate.
The family will be at the home.
