Mrs. Dorothy Kathleen ‘Kat’ Whitt, age 80, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2014.
She was a member of Webb Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad: Mae Denton and Jim Finchum; daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Jeff Blancher, brother Drinnon Finchum, and brother-in-law Bruce Byrd, Jr.
She is survived by her children Elizabeth Mae Arrwood, Randell Moore, Edward Shults, Joseph and wife Rebecca Shults, and Danny Keith and wife Wanda Shults; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Jennie Lou Byrd; two nieces and one nephew, all of Newport, and her cat Peabody.
The funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frank Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00—8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014, at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.
