She was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church for 65 years and a graduate of Everett High School and attended Knoxville Business College. She taught Sunday School class at her church for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Samuel and Sarah Allen, William and Minnie Franklin; her mother and father, William Shirley Franklin and Kathleen Alien Franklin; her sons, Dennis (Pea-nut) Gene Sneed, Timothy Trent Sneed and her husband, Billy Ray Sneed; and sister, Donna Sue Franklin. She is survived by her son, Joseph Sneed and his wife, Melody Smelcer Sneed; granddaughters, Jessica Sneed Thompson and husband Daniel, Jennafer Sneed, Rachel Sneed, and Kaylee Sneed; great-grandson, Jayden Sneed; and great-grandaughter, Mackenna Thompson; her sister, Angela Gait Moore and husband Carrtck Moore Jr.; nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lillian Evans. Bennie will be cremated by Memorial Funeral Home. Friends may pay respects at the home of Joseph Sneed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to East Maryville Baptist Church.
