July 10, 1960 - June 20, 2016 Resided in Seymour, TN John David Hamilton, Jr., age 55 of Seymour, passed away suddenly Monday, June 20, 2016 as a result of a heart attack. David was employed by the Sevier County Ambulance Service since 1983, most recently as a Paramedic Supervisor. He was also employed by the Safety Department at Dollywood since 1989 and by the Sevier County Emergency Management Agency since 1997. He was a member of the Sevier County Volunteer Rescue Squad from 1981-1998. David was preceded in death by his father, John David Hamilton, Sr. and nephew, Joshua Lewis. Survivors include his Wife: Caroline Miller Hamilton; Daughters: Haley and MacKenzie Hamilton; Mother: Blanche Huskey Hamilton; Sister: Terry Hamilton;Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Fred and Peggy Miller; Sister-in-law: Cindy Miller Giles and husband Tim; Brothers-in-law: Marty Miller, Michael Miller and Terry Chandler; Nephew: Chris Kimbrough; Nieces: Kelly McCarter and Kristen Chandler. In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to Haley and MacKenzie's College Fund at the Sevierville branch of Y-12 Federal Credit Union, 972 Dolly Parton Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Friday, June 24th at Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville.
