Orten M. Norris, 63, of Cosby, went to be with his Lord Friday, March 14, 2003, at his residence. He was Baptist by faith and was employed by Berkline before his retirement a year ago.
His parents, Ordway and Trula (Eslinger) Norris, brothers, JR, Farrell, and Clifford Norris, sister, Sarah Fay Norris, and special nephew, Larry (Boomer) Norris, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty (Ramsey) Norris, of Cosby; sons, Orten Jr. and wife, Charlene, of Cosby, Tim Norris and his wife, Dina, of California, Bryon Norris and his wife, Teresa, of Cosby, Jim Norris and his wife, Jackie, of Cosby, John Norris and his wife, Sherry, of Cosby, Nathen Norris, of Cosby and Ben Norris and his wife, Nikki, of Cosby; daughter, Lynn Green and her husband, Robert, of Cosby; sister, Charlotte Norris, of Cosby; brother, Crayton Norris and his wife, Linda, of Cosby; and 14 grandchildren. Mr. Norris will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Green officiating. Interment will follow at Ramsey Cemetery on Chestnut Mountain.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, March 16, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, March 17, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Orten M. Norris.
