Lorene M. Darling age 88 of Newport died Tuesday evening at the Newport Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Wesley Barrs and Arrie Johnson Barrs, husbands Alonzo H. Parker and Lawrence Darling, brother Hartford E. Darrs, Grandson Kenneth W. Parker, Great-granddaughter Cierra Brooke Thomas. She is survived b sons Kenneth Parker (Holly), Robert Parker (Pam), daughter Patricia Holt (Will). Grandchildren Michelle Wooten, Aaron Parker, Sharon Parker, Natalie Cothern, Elizabeth Holt, Christian Skyler, Clint Holt. She has 15 great-grandchildren, 2 special great great granddaughters Addison and Natalia. She was blessed to have seen 2 sets of Five generations. Sister Grace Brown and brother J. C. Barrs. The family wouldlike to give a special thanks to the staff at Newport Convalescent Center Nursing Home and the Doctors and staff at Newport Medical Center. Funeral service will be 7 pm Thursday at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Haney and Rev. Gary Berry officiating. Family will receive friends from a5 – 7 pm prior to the service. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Parker, Kenneth Parker, Aaron Parker, Daniel Cogdill, Jon-Paul Jenkins, Zachary Murray and Clint Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Hilt, Tray Harville, Ethan Harville.
