She was a member of Sevierville First Baptist Church and faithful member and sometimes teacher of Katie Blalock’s Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents Dowe D. Townsend and Maude Maples Townsend. Survivors: She was the Christian wife of Carroll L. King for almost 46 years Son: Daniel Blair King Daughter: Connie Lee King Grandchildren: Summer King, of Sevierville Blair and Crystal King, of Florida Sister: Beatrice (Bea) Barnes Brothers: David, Delmar, and Wade Townsend Funeral service 8pm Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating. Interment 10AM Thursday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Carroll King’s Sunday School Class will serve as pallbearers. Faye’s Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Sevierville Building Fund; 317 Parkway; Sevierville, TN 37862. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home.
