U.S. Veteran Gary Eugene Coffman, age 48, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 7, 2013. Gary was an Alcoa High School graduate, Class of 1983. He was a Pvt. 1st Class soldier in the U. S. Army, serving his country for 3 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie and Mary Coffman and James and Willie Myrle Swiney. He is survived by his sons Devon and Cody; parents, Jake and Mildred “Tootie” Coffman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Darlene and Brian Van Dyke and Tina and Tommy Boring; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends will gather 1:30 PM Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Hwy for the graveside service and interment, Rev. Lonnie Swiney and Rev. Damon Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
