She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Taffer; Daughter-in-law, Nancy Taffer; Granddaughter, Denna Taffer; parents, John M. and Eva Leatherwood; brothers, Berlin, Phillip and Minor Leatherwood; sisters, Lucille Flynn; Estelle Flynn and Winnie Emert. Survivors include her sons, Willie Taffer; Ray Taffer and wife, Diane, Jimmy Taffer; grandchildren, Dale and Rhonda Taffer, Jimmy Taffer and Alison ; Marsha Romines; Gary Buttry; Dee Dee Parker; great grandchildren, Kyle Romines; Cody Taffer; Ashley Taffer; Taylor Manis; Hayden Manis and Gabe Buttry; brother, Serene Leatherwood and a host of friends. Services will be held 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008 at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Berrier and Rev. Hudson Chesteen officiating. The family will meet at Rawlings Funeral home on Saturday, April 19, 2008 to go in procession to Union Grove Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside and interment service.
