Dorothy Brown, age 71, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013. Dorothy was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church in Cleveland, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband Manson Brown; parents, Flint and Bernice Phillips; two sisters and two brothers. She leaves behind to mourn her death, her sisters, Julie and Steve Hannah of Newport, whom she lived with, Edna Hollowell , Freemont, North Carolina, Janette Champion, of Henderson, NC, Sarah and Jerry Darnell, Tobes Creek, Darlene and Keith Frazier of Hartford; brothers, David and Amanda Phillips of Bybee, and Robert Phillips of Pikeville, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Griffin and Rev. Frank Bell officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Phillips Cemetery, Cosby, TN. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
