Swann, Verda Lee McCullough, age 86 of Knoxville, Tn. died November 21, 2013. She was born April 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Orland McCullough; predeceased by only son Jimmy, and brother O.S. McCullough. She graduated old KHS class of 44; U.T. College of Education 1948, and was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority over 70 years, plus a member of Ossoli Circle. She was an elementary teacher with Knoxville City Schools from 1948 beginning at Fair Garden, West View and retiring Griffin School in 1978. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Swann; sister, Betty Bridges, brother-in-law Eldridge Bridges; a nephew and several nieces. Family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home at 3704 Chapman Hwy. Knoxville, Tennessee 37920 on Monday November 25, 2013 from 12:00-1:00 P.M. with funeral services at 1P.M. and proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for interment alongside her beloved son.
