Preceded in death by daughter, Judy Ann Boring; son, Daniel “Danny” Boring; parents, Charles and Icey Boring; sisters, Evelyn Hearon, Frances Beasley, Lemo Boring; brothers, Hal Boring, Clifford Boring. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Alfred Dearl and Terry Boring of Gary, Indiana; daughter, Rita Ratley of Merriville, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Ms. Boring; grandchildren, Natalie and Ryan Boring, Samantha and Lucas Ratley; sisters, Reba Whitehead of Happy Valley; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Billy Key of Maryville; brother sister-in-law, Earl “Vern” and Betty Boring of Etowah, TN; nephew, Archie Gerald Whitehead; several other nieces and nephews and friends. Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and chaplains at Blount Memorial Hospice. Funeral service 2:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church Rev. Beecher Whitehead and Rev. Steve Whitehead officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
